The company holds a 65% interest in the JV with its Russian partner Power Machines holding the remaining stake.
The JV intends to construct a new facility in St. Petersburg to produce advanced, high-efficiency gas turbines starting in 2014.
Siemens Energy CEO Michael Suess said this site will also feature research and development activities in addition to production, service, and sales and marketing.
