The Shell India Marketing Private Limited unit of Shell India is planning to open CNG and LPG fuel stations for vehicles in Gujarat, India, according to The Hindu Business Line, citing Surinderdeep Singh, managing director and retail general manager of Shell India Marketing Private Limited.

The publication said that Shell has also introduced its fourth product in India, Shell Diesel Extra, at three outlets in Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Rajkot, after launching its retail venture at these sites.

Since acquiring a marketing license from the government to establish up to 2,000 fuel retail stations in the country in July 2004, the company has set up 42 outlets, The Hindu Business Line said.
