The Indian marketing division of Anglo-Dutch oil titan Royal Dutch Shell has signed a four-year agreement with Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals, which will see the ONGC subsidiary supply Shell with all grades of motor spirit and high-speed diesel, The Economic Times has reported.

<p>According to the publication, Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals (MRPL) already supplies Shell under an agreement forged in 2004 that is due to expire in October 2007. The new agreement, which will begin when the old one expires, will prolong the collaboration for four years, with a possible two-year extension. <br /><br />As well as fuel supply, the new agreement will see the companies collaborate on health, security, safety and environmental management measures, as well as allowing them to share strategic infrastructure, The Economic Times revealed. <br /><br />According to India Infoline, Shell India derives almost all of its fuel supplies from MRPL.</p>
