The contracts, funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, have performance periods of up to three years and include services such as energy program research, design, implementation and management.

Under a three-year contract with the state of Missouri’s Department of Natural Resources Energy Center, Shaw will design and manage the Transform Missouri Energy Efficiency Conservation Block Grant program, which will provide funding for projects to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy use and fossil fuel emissions in communities.
As a consultant to the City of Augusta Planning Commission, Shaw’s contract includes the design of an energy efficiency and conservation strategy in accordance with the Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency Conservation Block Grant guidelines, development of a format to report on the effectiveness of projects under these grants and identification of any additional energy efficiency opportunities that may qualify for Recovery Act funding or other programs.
The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Strategy and Master Plan Shaw develops for the City of Palm Bay will be designed through the research of project opportunities, energy scoping session with the city’s steering committee, identification of other potential funding sources for projects and final approval of the plan.
