As part of the deal, Shakti will provide technical support to develop and design relevant frameworks, procedures, tools, and protocols, which are needed for the effective implementation of EESL’s schemes.
Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation CEO Krishan Dhawan was quoted by IANS as saying that the MoU with EESL will allow foundation to offer cooperation for the cause of energy efficiency in India.
"We believe EESL can make a very significant impact on the energy efficiency space, and we look forward to supporting their efforts," Dhawan added.
Shakti Foundation will also support relevant stakeholders to conduct capacity-building activities which include, state designated agencies, industries, industries associations, energy managers and energy auditors.
EESL is a joint venture project of NTPC, Power Finance Corporation of India, Rural Electrification and Power Grid Corporation India.
