The Association of Finnish Gasoline Retailers (SBL) has stated that independent petrol station operators are finding it difficult to compete with a large-scale operator such as S-Group in acquiring plots for filling stations.
The SBL reportedly believes that S-Group retailers are successful at land sales, due in part by the presence of many municipal-level politicians on the retailers’ boards. The association has demanded much more transparent land dealings on the municipal level, according to the news source.
