Prospective partners include domestic oil suppliers in Africa and Southeast Asia, wherein SG Biofuels plan to convert plant materials into sustainable biofuel.
The biofuel would then be used to blend with conventional fuels such as diesel and jet fuel.
SG Biofuels chief executive officer Kirk Haney told Bloomberg that the company is also looking for developers who can construct and upgrade large agricultural projects.
The bioenergy solutions provider has undertaken research to extract oil from jatropha, an inedible plant found in Central America.
The plant, the seeds of which are utilized for biofuel production, has the ability to grow on poor land.
SG Biofuels has partnered with Indian oil company Bharat Petroleum, to cultivate the in 86,000a of land.
The company has also partnered with Airbus, the Inter-American Development Bank and Brazilian airline TAM SA to plant 75,000a of land in Brazil with jatropha.
"We’d love to find a good partner in Europe to help us penetrate that market," Haney added.
