Senergy’s Survey & GeoEngineering (Senergy S&G) group has received contract from GDF SUEZ to support Cygnus gas project.

Under the contract, Senergy S&G will provide vital onshore survey quality assurance and quality control and positioning management services for GDF SUEZ’s forthcoming offshore construction phases of the Cygnus project.

Work under the contract is scheduled to run throughout 2014 and 2015.

The contract scope also includes providing offshore survey representatives for the load out and installation of the Alpha and Bravo platforms, subsea structures, lay, trench, backfill and rock-dumping of the export pipeline, infield pipeline and control umbilicals, spool metrology and tie-ins.

Additionally, Senergy S&G’s web-based geographic information systems (GIS) and project information system, IRIS, will be deployed for the contract operations.

A developer with oversight of the trenching and backfill systems and operations for the pipeline assets will be provided by Senergy S&G a part of the contract.

Senergy S&G Survey and Positioning manager Martin Day said "We are particularly pleased to deploy and demonstrate the full power of our IRIS system, which will provide close visibility to the real time progress and status to GDF SUEZ throughout the project."
