Sembcorp Utilities and Jinan Quancheng Water have formed a joint venture to build, own and operate water treatment plants in the east of Jinan City, Shandong province of China.
Sembcorp plans to acquire a 50% stake in the proposed joint venture, while Jinan Quancheng Water will hold the other 50% stake.
Sembcorp Industrial Parks and the Rizhao Municipal People’s Government have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore the feasibility of a 638-hectare international marine city in Shandong Province.
The proposed development will comprise a coastal-urban area zoned for commercial and residential purposes, as well as industrial and logistics zones with a focus on marine-related industries.
Jinan Quancheng Water is owned by the Jinan City Public Utilities Board.
