Norway and Sweden are each to provide US$2M to Vietnam’s National Hydro-power Plan Study, which will finish in 2000. The study will undertake research into Vietnam’s hydroelectric power resources, ways of exploiting these, as well as the environmental effects of new projects.
Under the remit of the study the hydro power generating potential of Vietnam’s Da, Se San, Dong Nai, Lo-Gam and Ca rivers will be assessed.
