SavWatt USA, a LED lighting manufacturer, has introduced a new energy efficient 60W LED Street Light and Parking Lot Light Eco-Pole, which is powered by a patent pending wind turbine and solar panels.

The integration of all the three technologies enables SavWatt’s new Eco-Pole LED street light/parking lot light pole to be installed anywhere without the need for the traditional electric power and installation.

SavWatt’s Eco-Pole LED 60W street light has been designed to replace a traditional 250W Metal Halide light, by virtue of its capacity to save 100% of the energy costs, maintenance and reduce environmental pollution.

The introduction of the Eco-Pole LED light complements SavWatt’s effort to phase out the incandescent light bulbs through the use of energy-efficient LED lightings, which are increasingly being used by companies, cities, universities and the federal government to save energy and money.

SavWatt vice president of product development Sam Abecassis said that SavWatt has been working on the Eco-Pole for several months, resulting in a product that provides an average 18 month return on investment.

“We are in the process of registering Eco-Pole, which will provide efficient green lighting, with UL, ETL, FCC, Energy Star and the US Department of Energy and Transportation, with the goal of shipping these units in 2011,” Abecassis said.
