The SANYO North America and InSpec Group partners have begun installation work on a new 200kW project at Chemeketa Community College in the US state of Oregon.

Four seperate solar systems will be mounted on the rooftops of buildings on their main campus in Salem, as well as at satellite campuses around Salem.

In total, the systems are expected to generate approximately 225,000kWh per year for the College.

The joint partneship has also completed a 99kW solar photovoltaic (PV) system project for the Salem Conference Center, which is expected to generate about 11% of the building’s total energy usage on an annual basis.

Both the projects are equipped with SANYO HIT Power 220A solar panels, developed by SANYO Solar of Oregon, which have a cell efficiency of 19.8% and module efficiency of 17.4%, that allows for maximum power distribution per square foot.
