The plant, which will be built in the economic zone of Dahej, located in Gujarat State, India, is expected to produce 340,000 tonnes of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) per year.
Under the terms of the contract, Samsung Engineering will handle the engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning work at the plant, on a lump-sum turn-key basis.
The contract is expected to be completed in August 2013.
