In December 2009, Salcon entered into a cooperation agreement with the government of Yizheng City, China, for the integration and consolidation of water and wastewater works in Yizheng city and the acquisition marks Salcon’s commitment to that effect.
Once the acquisition is complete, Salcon plans to increase the capacity of the wastewater treatment plant, which currently produces 25 million liters of processed water per day, to 50 million liters per day.
The project, which marks Salcon’s eighth concession in the Jiangsu Province, China, is expected to generate total revenue of CNY218.456m for the company during the concession period.
