Urvasco Energia owns six onshore wind farms supplying a total of 150MW of power. Consequently, output from RWE-operated wind parks in Spain now totals around 350MW. The wind farms are located in the regions of Aragon, Castilla-La Mancha and Andalucia.
Fritz Vahrenholt, CEO of RWE Innogy, said: In expanding our wind portfolio, we pay special attention to the quality of the sites. The wind farms are in the immediate vicinity of the wind farms of our Spanish subsidiary Agrupacio Energias Renovables. The vast majority are also equipped with the same technology. This leads to important synergies, especially in operation and maintenance.
