Explotaciones Eolicas de Aldehuelas owns and operates a wind farm with an installed capacity of 47.2MW in the Spanish region of Castile-Leon near the city of Soria.

With the acquisition, RWE Innogy increases its overall share in the company to 95%, the company said.

The acquisition also enables RWE Innogy to increase its Spanish wind portfolio to 447MW installed capacity.

The wind farm Aldehuelas comprises a total of 59 wind turbines of the 800kW class which were built by the Spanish manufacturer Made (Gamesa).

The wind farm was commissioned in 2005 and has since been supplying electricity to an equivalent of 30,000 households a year.

In Spain, either a fixed or a variable feed-in tariff rate can be chosen as a basis for payment for the electricity produced.
