Russia is looking into the possibility of building new hydro schemes in Afghanistan, RIA-Novosti has reported.
The news agency reported that bilateral trade between the two countries has increased considerably over the past few years, with President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev hoping this can be further developed.
Russian companies are presently involved in a number of power schemes in Afghanstan, including the Naglu power plant.
