The company’s total electricity generation increased by 18% in the quarter amounting to 28,407GWh as compared to the year-ago quarter, while it has reached 93,418GWh, or up 15%, during the nine-month period.

RusHydro has attributed quarterly production change to various factors including low water inflow to reservoirs of the Volga-Kama cascade; high water inflow to major reservoirs of Siberia; and substitution of thermal generation in the Far East of Russia by higher hydro output.

The company claims that low water inflow to reservoirs of Volga-Kama cascade and a decrease in generation in the third quarter was offset by an increase in generation in Siberia and South of Russia.
