These acquired assets have been operating for over 50 years and include a network of 27 retail service stations and a distribution network for commercial fuels, heating oil and marine lubricants.
The acquisition is expected to give Rubis the opportunity to enter the aviation fuel supply business with a local presence. With a total sales-turnover of GBP48 million and a volume of 105,000 cubic meters in 2007, these assets reportedly represent around 30% of the total Channel Islands’ supply.
This acquisition is expected to increase Rubis’s existing fuels sales by 15% to around 800,000 tons per year.
