The Department of Mines and Petroleum has granted license for completely owned tenement E53-1716 located 450km north of Kalgoorlie.
Commenting on the approval, Rox Resources managing director Ian Mulholland said that with this grant the company could commence the step back drilling along the south-eastern portion of the deposit following the other necessary approvals.
"We would like to take this opportunity to thank the native title parties and their representatives, and the Department of Mines and Petroleum for their work in expediting the grant of this tenement," added Mulholland.
Rox is now seeking an ethnographic heritage survey in compliance with heritage protection protocol.
Following the heritage survey and approval of Programme of Works (PoW), it will commence the step back drilling at the new tenement.
