Currently ANRE, the regulator has sought to reduce the number of green certificates granted for solar- power production.
Speaking at a conference in Bucharest ANRE head Nicolae Havrilet remarked that currently the regulator needs to study 2012 before arriving at any conclusion, reported Bloomberg.
"Based on the current legislation, no change in the incentives will be applied before January 2014.
"We need to analyze the 2012 report on investment costs and we will see whether the number of green certificates needs to be reduced or not," said Havrilet.
The eastern European could be part of a growing list of countries that includes Spain, France, Italy and the UK that have sought to reduce incentives for renewable power producers in the recent past.
