As part of the deal, Rolls-Royce will supply two RB211 gas turbine driven pipeline compressor units to install at the WEPP II.
The Lunnan – Tulufan pipeline, which connects Lines I and II of WEPP that links western Xinjiang region to Fujian province in the south-east of China, transports 17 billion cubic metres of gas per year.
WEPP transports around 47 billion cubic metres of gas per year, in total.
Rolls-Royce North East Asia regional director Patrick Horgan said that 2013 marks the 50th anniversary of the company in China.
