Mr Hughes will be responsible for ensuring that the management team and company continue to meet stakeholder expectations as the company’s commercial projects are implemented and its growth continues.
Earlier, he served as managing director of Powergen International. He also served at the Central Electricity Generating Board (CEGB). His background in strategic planning, new business development and asset management will add value to RLtec as it looks towards the future of energy provision in the UK and internationally, the company said.
Mr Hughes also co-founded Broadview Energy, a wind farm developer, and has been engaged in consultancy in the renewable energy sector for several years. He is a non executive director of PERA.
