The company said that the financier included two state-owned South African financial institutions, two local senior lending banks, and two export credit agencies and Noble Group.
Resgen expects the funding to cover the remaining costs for the mine construction.
The company is also looking out for alternate debt funding arrangements to improve the chances of finalizing the development of the mine.
The firm stated that the mine’s infrastructure continued during the quarter ended 31st March which included power supply infrastructure, earthworks relating to the rail network stabilisation facility (NSF), three rail link bridges, and 13 km of water pipeline associated with the effluent treatment plant.
Resgen said: "Earthworks were previously completed for a 13 km section of the pipeline adjacent to a main road. The majority of the pipes have been installed and testing is under way."
