The utility said that consumers who sign up for its Secure Savings–24 program before May 29, 2008, can receive an additional 10% summer discount through September 22, 2008.
Reliant noted that this discount will be applied to a 24-month term rate, even as natural gas prices have increased since the beginning of 2008.
During the summer, Texans reportedly use approximately 45% of their annual electricity because of air-conditioning needs in the state’s heat and humidity.

Reliant Energy Secure Savings-24 provides customers with already low pricing during the term of the product, plus an additional 10% discount when our customers need it most.
