The PV projects are expected to produce around 90,000,000kWh in their first year of operation.
Under a 20-year feed-in tariff, the Sacramento Municipal Utility District is receiving 50MW of clean electricity from the three solar projects that are located near the cities of Galt, Elk Grove and Sloughhouse, in Sacramento County.
Recurrent Energy CEO Arno Harris said the completion of the projects is the culmination of strong renewable energy policy and the dedicated work of all the teams involved.
"The projects demonstrate our expertise in developing flexible utility-scale solutions in a short period of time, and help us achieve the end goal of a clean energy future," Harris said.
The three projects are part of a four-project portfolio and the fourth project is currently under construction and is expected to reach commercial operation later this year.
In December 2011, Google and SunTap Energy made a significant investment in the projects.
