Chilean power generator Endesa-Chile has announced that the construction of its Ralco hydroelectric dam in Chile was delayed by damage caused by rainstorms earlier this year.

The company has now revised the timeline for the project, scheduling the first generating unit to begin operating in December 2003 and a second in early 2004.

Meanwhile, Endesa has reported a January-September net profit of US$59.3M compared with a loss of US$30.2M in the same period last year.
