Hebei Mining is Raisama’s largest shareholder with a 10.9% equity holding.

As per the terms of the strategic alliance, Raisama and Hebei Mining will co-operate regarding certain aspects of Raisama’s business, which the parties mutually agree are of strategic importance. According to the companies, the alliance will be looking at the funding of projects and the provision of technical support regarding exploration.

David Berrie, managing director of Raisama, said: “This MoU helps to cement the already strong relationship between the company and its major shareholder, Hebei Mining.”

“Raisama will gain immediate access to the rapidly developing uranium market in China and across the world – backed by our largest shareholder.”

Mr Berrie added: “While the MoU comes with in-built security safeguards it also provides Raisama with exploration, development and marketing power that would take far longer to achieve on its own.”
