Canada based QSolar has unveiled its' new Kristal and Kristal Rainbow range of semi-transparent and color semi-transparent solar panels.

Following the introduction of the company’s frameless Spraytek range of solar panels, the Kristal range consists of rigid, frameless solar panels that allow light to partially pass through them.

These panels will be used in building applications to replace windows, roofs, and even walls and are designed to address structural requirements while at the same time producing electricity from the sun.

QSolar president and CEO Andreas Tapakoudes said the company’s Kristal panels address the building integrated photovoltaic market which is expanding at a very rapid rate in Europe.

"The availability of colored panels creates an even larger potential market for us because the Kristal panels enable architects and designers to implement a wide variety of building applications," Tapakoudes said.

QSolar is a solar energy company engaged in the panel manufacturing process.
