Leonard Girard, chief science officer for Purio, describes some of the features of the production unit:

Our extensive testing of the Purio process in our remarkable demonstrator unit, under very challenging conditions, has produced a collection of data that is important to the design of this model. The through-put capacity is targeted to improve by as much as 25% and the clarification process will be even more efficient. Energy consumption has been reduced and all these improvements will be accomplished without appreciably increasing the small footprint of the skid. As with the production of any mechanical technology, such as in the aircraft or automobile industry, we will incorporate the tweaks in the system which will produce improvements in our technology’s already impressive performance.

Daryl English, Purio president, adds, The table clearly shows that the Purio technology can process residential sewage to quality levels beyond safe discharge guidelines; all this without expensive membranes, high pressure pumps and without biological reaction. In addition, we never want to lose sight of the fact that the same equipment can produce high-quality drinking water from polluted sources. We are moving swiftly to make this marvelous system commercially available to address a thirsty world’s growing demand for advanced wastewater treatment and high quality drinking water.
