Outdoor media firm PumpMedia has launched a fully integrated digital signage solution for gas station environments that it designed to help petroleum retailers increase sales, improve brand loyalty and benefit from incremental ad revenue.

The new technology, which enables digital signage networks to be seamlessly integrated at the fuel pump dispenser, was launched by PumpMedia in partnership with Real Digital Media and Avocent Corporation.

This first-of-its-kind offering combines Real Digital Media’s Neocast digital signage platform and Avocent’s Emerge MPX1000 HD multipoint extender solution with PumpMedia’s pump top video enclosure, enabling fuel retailers to implement digital signage at the pump through an architecture capable of delivering high impact video and audio content to refueling motorists.

The joint technology solution has already been selected by an unnamed Global 50 petroleum company, and deployments at additional Fortune 500 companies are expected throughout 2007.

Given the specialized nature of the gas station environment, we concluded it would be wise to work exclusively in concert with high quality partners to assure predictable success, commented Ken Goldberg, CEO of Real Digital Media. The PumpMedia solution solves the technology challenges at gas stations, allowing network owners and operators to focus on the unique objectives and value propositions of digital signage within their organizations.
