Mr Bowen, with more than 20 years of experience in public and community relations, will be responsible for managing Puget Sound Energy (PSE’s) relationship with local city and county public works staff.

As the commissioner of Kittitas County since 2005, Mr Bowen has managed a $56-million annual budget, with responsibilities for short- and long-term planning, new construction, road maintenance, land use, real estate acquisition and utility franchise agreements.

Phil Bussey, senior vice president for corporate affairs, said: David brings to PSE extraordinary experience and respect within the local community. His understanding of the local regulatory and legislative process and his ability to forge and maintain strong relationships will help strengthen PSE’s involvement in Kittitas County.
