The auction of the Amlan hydro power plant in The Philippines has been put back at the request of bidders

The country’s electricity privatisation agency – Power Sector and Liabilities Management Corp (PSALM) – has set the new bid deadline as 23 July.

PSALM added that the extra time would also enable it ‘more leeway in threshing out the issues raises’ by the prospective bidders. The bidders had requested more time for due diligence.

Final bid documentation for the five interested bidders in the 0.8MW baseload plant is to be issued on 16 July.

In the earlier stages of the privatisation process there had been seven groups that explored investment possibilities at Amlan.
