Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, a tri-service military installation that combines McGuire Air Force Base, Naval Air Engineering Station Lakehurst, and Fort Dix, expects this project to help reduce its use of traditional forms of electric power, while producing electricity at a savings.
Graybar, an employee-owned distributor of electrical-data/communications, has been contracted by Pro-Tech for the maintenance, repair and operation for this project. The solar energy project is anticipated to prevent 202,793 pounds of carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere every year.
John Drexinger, chief operating officer of Pro-Tech Energy Solutions, said: “There are certain things the US military can do on a mass scale better than anyone – mobilizing people, engineering and operating advanced technologies, to name a few.
“We are proud that the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst recognized the professional expertise of the seasoned team of energy professionals we have assembled at Pro-Tech to execute this project.”
