The company claims that Venera Series fixtures consume 50-75% less electricity than metal halide or other high intensity discharge fixtures with wattages as low as 30w.
Primestar LED said that it targets the underserved middle market sectors in order to contribute to the worldwide efforts of large scale LED adoption. According to US Department of Energy, the potential impact of LED in the US is a projected $125bn in savings per year of electricity consumption by 2025.
James Caviness, president of Primestar LED, said: ”Beyond the energy savings, this fixture is zero maintenance for up to 10 years or more. Taking the energy savings, the maintenance savings, in concert with, the EPACT deductions and local utility rebates, LED is the smart choice for any company looking for better light quality and increased cash flow on their bottom line.”
