The $1.2bn manufacturing facility, owned by Hemlock Semiconductor, is currently under construction in Clarksville.
As per the contract, Praxair will build and operate an on-site hydrogen generating facility and supply liquid hydrogen by truck.
The polysilicon manufacturing facility is expected to commence operations-up in next year.
Praxair also supplies nitrogen and hydrogen to Hemlock Semiconductor’s polysilicon facility in Hemlock, Michigan.
