Power Machines’s scope of contract includes manufacture and supply of parts and components to renovate the steam turbine’s intermediate pressure cylinder flow path. The contract is valued at $5m.

Recently Montenegro’s Elektroprivreda Crne Gore has agreed to renovate the Pljevlja thermal power plant. In that deal, Power Machines would renovate a 210MW power unit, extending the economic life of the K-210-130-3 turbine and renovating the low pressure cylinder flow path. The unit’s TBB-200 turbo generator would also be inspected by Russia engineers.

The renovation projects are due for completion by the end of 2009.

According to Power Machines, the renovation would augment Pljevlja TPP’s turbine power by 10MW at a steam rate of 670 tons per hour.
