The test results have proved the conformity of main electric parameters to their design values, as well as full compliance of the generator with the normative-technical documentation requirements.
The turbogenerator has been manufactured by the company along with two driving turbines to drive steam generators feed pumps of the Rostovskaya NPP’s fourth power unit as part of contracts signed with Directorate for Integrated Ordering of Equipment for NPPs OJSC, a member of the Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation in December 2011.
The turbogenerator is supplied with an excitation system, an exciter and auxiliary systems, while the drive turbines are being manufactured by Power Machines member, Kaluga Turbine Works OJSC, and are scheduled to be handed over to the customer by the end of November 2014.
In addition, the company is providing services on the installation supervision and commissioning of the equipment, and its delivery to the NPP site, which is planned to be commissioned in 2015.
Power Machines has also manufactured, tested and supplied a new turbogenerator and two complete sets of drive turbines for the third power unit of Rostovskaya NPP.
