The second 250MW unit for the Tehri hydro plant in Uttar Pradesh, India, has been commissioned by Russia's Power Machines.
In September the company commissioned the first of the four 250MW power units for Tehri, as well as valves, gates and auxiliary equipment.
The 4.1m diameter turbine runner rotates at 214.3 rpm.
The remaining two power units are planned to be delivered early in 2007.
