Positive Energy, an EPC contractor in Southeast Europe, has completed the construction of a 2?Wp photovoltaic (PV) park in the Prefecture of Lakonia in Greece, for Solar Gate.

As an EPC contractor, Positive Energy provided oversaw the project design, the supply of equipment and the construction of the project.

The solar facility is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 2,600 tons per year.

Positive Energy CEO Konstantinos Mavros said the Greek PV market is growing with nearly 150GWp installed in 2010 and 80MWp installed within the first quarter of this year which can lead to annual market of 300-350MWp.

Solar Gate CEO Stelios Georgioudakis said the completion of solar PV project not only result in its investment profits but also result in significant social and environmental benefits.
