Positive Energy completes 2MW solar project in Greece

Positive Energy has completed the construction of a 2MWp solar photovoltaic (PV) park in the Prefecture of Lakonia in Greece, for Solar Gate.

As the main EPC contractor, the company was responsible for the project design, the supply of equipment and the construction of the project.

The solar facility is expected to avoid 2,600 tons of carbon dioxide emissions per year.

Positive Energy CEO Konstantinos Mavros said the Greek PV market is growing with nearly 150GWp installed in 2010 and 80MWp installed within the first quarter of this year which can lead to annual market of 300-350MWp.
