China’s Huaneng Group is planning to develop a new hydr opower plant in the Tibet Autonomous Region after signing a deal with the Tibetan government.
Although details of the project have not been disclosed, the development is expected to form part of the country’s plan to transmit power from the western to regions of intense commercial activity on the east coast.
Financial details were not disclosed.
