The firm has acquired 500,000 common shares and 500,000 common share purchase warrants in exploration company Laurentian that focuses on gold properties in Canada.
Pinetree also invested in 10 million common shares and five million common share purchase warrants in Canada-based U3O8 Corporation that targets uranium assets in South America.
The company announced that the ownership is acquired as an investment, wherein the firm can increase or decrease its investment share at a later date.
Pinetree also has investments in the resources sector including precious metals, base metals, oil and gas, potash, lithium and rare earths, uranium and coal.
