Polish integrated energy firm PGNiG has relaunched its massive ZL0.5 billion contract tender for companies to build the facilities need for the firm to extract oil and gas from a Lubiatow adjacent feature.

According to a report from the Polish News Bulletin, four companies have so far indicated their interest in building the infrastructure to allow PGNiG to exploit the feature. The winner of the bid will have two years to build an oil and gas extraction installation in the vicinity of Lubiatow.

The Polish energy outfit holds a license to extract oil and gas from the Lubiatow deposit until 2029. The feature is estimated to hold 30 million tonnes of oil.

The relaunch of the tender reflects the fact that the project has suffered from frustrating delays. No details were given as to when the preferred bidder would be selected.
