The hybrid power train of Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 combines HDi diesel engine and the electric motor to offer 30% reduction in fuel consumption, resulting in a combined drive cycle fuel consumption of 74.4mpg, and CO2 emissions of 99g/km.

The new hybrid vehicle can be operated in four different modes, including ZEV (zero emission vehicle), four-wheel drive, auto and sport and also silent operation, when driving in electric only mode.

The new hybrid crossover features nickel metal hydride batteries, stop and start technology, 6-speed electronically-controlled sequential manual gearbox, connect 3-D media navigation system, Peugeot connect services, USB connector, a Bluetooth system and a 3D display.

Peugeot, which will be producing the 3008 HYbrid4 in France, will start marketing the hybrid vehicle in Europe in the spring of 2011.
