The BW Pioneer FPSO vessel moored approximately 250km off coast the State of Louisiana is capable of producing oil and gas with a processing capacity 80,000 barrels of oil and 500,000 cm3 gas per day, and storing capacity of 500,000 barrels of oil.
The Chinook #4 production well is connected to the vessel through a system that includes subsea equipment and lines.
The oil from the vessel is transported through shuttle tankers and gas via pipeline to the shore.
The Cascade and Chinook projects were developed as per the company’s safety, environment, energy efficiency and health guidelines, according to the company.
