The companies currently operate a joint venture (JV) in Mongolia which holds coal and uranium licenses.
The JV is conducting an exploration program in the South Gobi region and throughout the country.
Peabody and Winsway have also recently signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding to establish a JV to market coal in China and in the Asia Pacific region.
Winsway is a supplier of imported coking coal, and it distributes and transports coal from Mongolia and other countries into China.
