Patel Engineering has won a Rs 360 crore (US$80.5M) order from India's National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) to construct the 600MW Loharinag Pala hydroelectric project.

The project, located on the river Bhagirathi in the Uttarkashi district of India’s Uttaranchal, is a run of river scheme made up of four 150MW units, and should be completed in 45 months.

Scope of the project consists of a surge shaft, inclined pressure shaft, underground power house, underground transformer hall, tail race tunnel and switchyard.
