The Pad zone was discovered beneath the historic heap leach pads and the company has also extended the near-surface Facilities zone further to the north.
The company now plans further drilling to enlarge the new Pad zone discovery, which resulted from drilling around the main Sleeper structure north from the Facilities zone.
Drill hole PGR-11-022, the northern most drill hole under the heap leach pads, intersected 24m grading 0.63 g/T of gold and 1.3 g/T of silver in an entirely new mineralized zone that was not recognized by the condemnation drilling conducted in the area before locating the heap leach pads.
The company said that the PGR-11-023 hole also intersected this new target, returning higher grade intercepts such as 1.5m grading 6.29 g/T of gold and 6.3 g/T of silver comparable to the grades exploited in the historical Sleeper vein.
Paramount CEO Christopher Crupi said these results confirm the potential for the continued growth of Sleeper mineral resources by way of geologic discovery.
