The miner said that it had collected soil samples from Malatswae mine and sent it to C.F. Research laboratory in Kelowna for microprobe analysis.
Apart from the latest samples, most of the minerals tested in the area are picro-ilmenites, confirming a kimberlitic provenance, the company said.
The tests also found the presence of clinopyroxenes, garnets, forsteritic olivine and phlogopite in the samples.
According to Pangolin, the present samples are geologically different from the samples that contained four diamonds discovered within the project area previously.
Pangolin Diamonds said: "The presence of anomalous counts of picro-ilmenites together with garnet and/or clinopyroxene within a single sample have been recorded in close proximity to aeromagnetic targets selected for detailed groundmagnetic and soil sampling follow-up programmes."
The diamond miner is also planning to follow up the survey by conducting a detailed ground magnetic survey and perform detailed soil sampling grids.
